William E. "Bill" Loftin Jr. is vice president and chief operating officer of Loftin & Company. Mr. Loftin is the third generation of the Loftin family to serve as an executive of the company. His duties include supervising day-to-day operations and administration; he also shares responsibility for decision-making and long-range planning with Mr. Walter Hobbs, president.

Mr. Loftin joined Loftin & Company in 1981 shortly after graduating from Davidson College with a bachelor's degree in history. He is a member and director of the Charlotte Rotary Club.

He and his wife, Nan, have two children, Martha and Will.
