William E. Loftin Sr.

William E. Loftin, Sr.William E. "Bill" Loftin Sr. is director and treasurer of Loftin & Company. Mr. Loftin has been with the company since 1962. He is the second generation of the Loftin family to serve as an executive of the company, which was established by his father in 1898.

Additionally, Mr. Loftin is co-founder and president of Heritage Printers Inc., a hot-metal composition and letterpress printing company that shares the Loftin & Company building. He also is co-founder of McNally & Loftin Publishers Inc. (1964) and co-founder and president of Graphic Composition Inc. (1974).

A graduate of Davidson College, Mr. Loftin did graduate study at Harvard Business School and the University of North Carolina. Prior to founding Heritage Printers in 1956, he held positions with Florida State University, Harvard University, Chance Vought Aircraft and Burlington Mills.

He is a member and past president of the Charlotte Rotary Club and served as class secretary and reunion chairman for his graduating class at Davidson College. He also is a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church, where he has served in a variety of positions.

Mr. Loftin and his wife, Martha Jane, have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
